Horn troubles. CN SD70

Unread postby DKSspeed » Fri Feb 28, 2020 2:53 pm

Let's start at the beginning.....

So recently i wanted to change the horn on the Canadian National SD70 Standard Cab by Travel by Trains. I went through 5 different horn files and switched them all over to .wav while placing the audio sound into the file. After changing the files (like i have always been doing), I jump into the game only to hear silence when i 'sound' the horn. Of course I tried to trouble shoot the issue but no luck.

Does anybody know what's up? I've also been trying to change the SD60E horn and still get the same issue.

Thanks!

There are different ways to install a horn in a loco and it will depend on how the audio part of the horn was designed.
Some require making changes in the proxybin and proxyxml (always both) in the horn itself and into the CAB subfolder. Some only in the main horn.
Some require to convert wav files to dav or viceversa.

Unfortunately I do not have that particular loco from "Travel from Trains" to tell you exactly what to do.
When not available from the author of the horn you want to install, there are different tutorials here in the library as well as other sites and in YouTube.
Intel i7-7900K (3.60 GHz) - ASUS Prime Z390A - 32 GB DDR4 RAM 2400 MHz
