Mods to loco's on the HiLine

Am I the only one having a problem with the mods posted for these locos? I'm certain I have the Searchlight stuff but when I install the mods listed over on the DTG pages the ES doesn't seem to change anything and the GP38-2 as soon as I click on it I get the infamous 'out of memory' sign and the game crashes. I went and took all the stuff I had outside the .ap and now everything works again but I'm back with the stock locos. Anyone? !*don-know!*

I am not having any type of crash or freezing with this route (so far).
I am not sure if I understand at what type of mod do you refer. If the mods you are talking about are the SS conversions of the GP38 and GEVO I do not have any issue either, before or after I added the right scripting for the GP38. The conversion mod I use is the one in the Montana thread here in RWA (a post by OpenRailer90).
If SS is the mod, try to reinstall the 16-645E and Gevo EPs.
Something else you can also do just to discard it is verify only the Montana DLC or delete everything outside (aside) the .AP´s and start again installing the mods.
Besides the locos SS conversions I have other mods installed like the Krellnut sounds for the Montana HiLine cars and the enabling of all SS enhancements at route level (routeproperties.xml). I have also Danny´s merging with Marias but I think it is a different route with a number pretty similar to Marias Pass alone.
If I may be of any help just PM me or ask it here.

OK here is my problem. You need to read my post over because I said I deleted everything outside the .ap so I am back at square one. I checked the 16-645E for integrity and it's working OK on my RSC SD40s like it should. Then I just went and looked into the bin file for Brendon's mod and it refers to a 16-645D Rebuilt 38 series. Am I supposed to have that?

The SearchLight Mod called EMD 16-645E is for non turbocharged engines like the GP38's. The other mod is EMD 16-645E3 is for turbocharged engines like the SD40's. So If you have EMD 16-645E it should apply to these locos for testing ○ BN and BNSF H3 from BNSF Pack ○ BNSF H1/BN White Face from Stevens Pass ○ BNSF Ex-BN, H3 Low Ditchlight from The Racetrack ○ UP Dirty and Clean from the Peninsula Corridor ○ NS High Hood both skins ○ Alaska Railroad. All info taken from their web page

John,
I read their web page. That's what I missed that there are two different 16-645 packs. Back to trying this again. *!!thnx!!*

16-645E is for the GP38.
16-645-E3 is for the SD40-2.

There is no such 16-645D EP in SS. There must be a spelling mistake, but it is not mentioned in the post by OpenRailer90 where I got my SS conversion.

I applied this Brandon´s file to convert both the GEVO and the GP38 in Montana HL from here:
https://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21720&start=105#p251965

The GP38 works but has a bug. Later on thanks to AmericanSteam post in the HiLine, I realized the script file for the GP38 in that mediafire file, was not the right one, so I posted this patch (with the right script) here:
https://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21720&start=150#p252150
If your Montana route Assets are clean (no mods) then reapply these files above and should be OK, provided your 16-645E EP files are not corrupted.

I think I did all this and everything works other than I have no headlight on the GP38-2. When you say a clean install does that mean I have to purge any scenarios I made?

645D isn't a typo. It's the product name when you look at the list in game.

Maybe you forgot enabling the 16-645E EP in the route (16-645D, see below)? If you have all the MLWAudio/SS packages I may send you my routesproperties for Montana HL.

Right. Thank you Anthony.

Attention to American Steam or others who can answer to this below

I have a question about " How to enable MLWAudio " in what part program in Train Simulator 20xx? I do have mine is Train Simulator 2020. Can you explain step by step -- to enable MLWAudio.

Thank you,

John

This must be enabled in the route properties. Go to build, select the route, edit, and in the left top flyout use the dropdown menu and select MLWAudio and select all boxes. You must have MLWAudio enhancements installed.
