SD80mac freezes my game

A day ago I decided to drive the CSX SD80mac addon. I put the engine into 100% throttle ( notch 8) and then at 650RPM the game froozed. **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!** I have no idea how to fix this I even uninstalled and reinstalled the addon from steam and same thing happens. Is this even fixable? !**conf**!

Has it done this more than once? Your description doesn't give us much to work on

Yes it has. It can happen in a scenario or Quick drive. If I the engine doesn't go up to 650RPM the game doesn't freeze.

I have duplicated it as well. engine rpm at 650 the game freezes. This is consistent. Ran it on Ohio CSX route. In 64 bit. I will run this with logmate later today to see if that finds anything.

I unticked the DLC in the library tab then deleted the SD80Mac folder in Railworks, rebooted the computer, ticked the DLC and ran it again and it still crashes. Hopefiully someone wil have an answer or be able to test it.

This log only shows some track rule problems.
Does the crash happen on several routes?

I have only tried it on one route. I will try on others and report back. I do not know what route the OP was using.

Yes, I have the CSX SD80mac and tried it out and when opened up the throttle it froze. This was on the Norfolk Southern Coal route which the SD80mac came with 2 career scenarios for it. Part 1 and part 2 hauling I don't know about 100 full coal wagons using 2 SD80mac. I have completed the first one quite some time ago but cannot remember when but had no issues with it.

Thinking that this had been screwed up in a subsequent update, I took a copy of the SD80MAC Pack01 from a backup copy of Railworks from 2017 and ran this on several routes and still had the same issue. It must be in one of the engine/simulation files.
UPDATE: Ran the career scenario in NS Coal District part 2 that Trev did with a missing bin file error, F2 through it and had the same issue with the SD80MAC. Uninstalled route, deleted PenCoal folder and reinstalled. No change. Any suggestions other than submitting a ticket? Being so old I doubt they are going to do anything about it.

Are you using Fan Railer's physics mods on your SD80MAC?

No. The version that I am using to test is a clean download from DTG.

Final It works without a game crash in 32 bit. The throttle response is good. Brake issues were noted back in2014. I don't know how to get this fixed. Added all of fanrailers mods and a coupler fix.

OK, I started the Part 2 scenario on the Norfolk Southern route I wasn't able to get more than the first notch without wheel slipping with the sander on so I restarted the scenario by clicking on start game again or whatever from the drop-down menu after pressing the pause button. Was able to get to 25% throttle without wheel slipping and gradually picked up speed to eventually get to 40 MPH further down the track. Got about 2 miles from Go via Street Main 1 which is the first waypoint and got uncoupled from the train and -500 points for an operational error. When I eventually managed to stop about half a mile down the track I put the loco into reverse to back up to the wagons. When a got to about 20 feet from them they all came flying towards me at a great speed and the game ended with a derailment error.
