TS2020 new graphic settings crash

Unread postby CSXAC60CW » Sun Sep 22, 2019 2:45 am

So I just updated TS to the new cool and fancy version and I saw it had new graphic features! Awesome, so I tried to just lighten the contrast up, load my route and it crashed giving me this message:
ummm wtf.jpg

So I did what it said by lowering the graphics and so I did, got the same message as soon as the route pulled up.
Tried something else by literally lowering every single bit of graphics to the lowest point possible... and STILL get the message.
I emailed DTG the problem and not to be hash but I wanted to come here because I think most of you know what you're talking about.

I don't know what to make about that error message. After I have been playing TS2020 successfully for an hour or so and finished a scenario and quite the game that message is on my desktop don't ask me why as I had no issues running TS2020. I am sorry as I know my comment doesn't help you.

I get that message running the game in 32-bit mode. But not 64-bit So I get the frustration, don't know why either, but hopefully someone from Dovetail Games will address it and be able to fix. If it wasn't for 64-bit this game it self would have been a total lost, because I could never run most of my scenarios without it crashing or getting this error message.

I had that message in 64 bit and not in 32. Not tried 64 again as I tend to use 32 bit for the editing facilities and I am not short on memory.

What I’m saying is I’m indeed clueless but it seems the problems that I had have gone without my doing anything because I hadn’t a clue what I was (am) doing.

Sounds like a faulty/partial update that has corrected itself....auto-updates?

A few reports of crashes and low sound issues in Steam forums. No smoking gun found as of yet. Not everyone is affected so it must be system-specific.

Do you have RWEnhancer or RWEnhancer PRO installed? If you do disable it and download the newest compatible version.

Yeah I think this update screwed my game up completely.. I literally can’t load anything without the crash even on lowest settings, I even disabled every 3rd party graphic enhancer.. still get the error
DTG has not responded yet..
Everything was working fine before this update so this is NOT a software/computer issue.

I know I sometimes sound like a broken record but have you tried a cache verify? If you say it's not anything in your rig about the only thing left is a bad or incomplete D/L since we know most of us are running without issue.

That’s in the games settings right? Like the tools section?
