Need help changing Locomotive bells.

I know how to change a horn with no problem but I have two locomotives with no bells and every time I try to fix them, the bells don't work, its just silence. Can anybody tell me what to do?

You need to be a bit more specific on what locomotive you're trying to change, the sounds you're replacing the originals with, etc, in order for us to be able to provide assistance.

The engines i need help with are the F45 and the SW1500 that comes with the Marias Pass DLC. I want to put a steel bell on the F45.
