When this has happened to me it has meant that one of the BIN files (ie XML) is malformed. If this just started happening look for a BIN file that was modified today, convert it over to XML and open it with Internet Explorer. IE will parse the file and tell you if there is something wrong with it. Remove (ie Rename) the file and verify the files again through steam to get a fresh copy.

I had that error also.

In my case I fixed it by doing the following. First, verify that this is happening in scenarios that use the SW1500 Switcher and that you have any of the SW1500 repaints installed. If you update the repaints with the new .GeoPcDx files from the updated SW1500 your scenarios should work again.

P.S. Verifying the files won't fix the problem, the problem is caused by the repaints.

Let me know if this works for you.

Replacing the SW1500_01.GeoPcDx in the repaints from here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\WesternPacific\Engine\SW1500_01.GeoPcDx

is what corrected the problem for me.

I just had the problem with any scenario using the SW1500, not sure why you would get it on any route and scenario. !*hp*!

The problem must be with a low level assest. Something that all scenarios use.

This is really strange, I had the problem with the SW1500 repaints, even though the repaints were not referenced in any scenario. It seems that just having an unupdated repaint file installed can cause this problem whether it's actually used or not. !*don-know!*

Hi,

For all those who are having trouble with the first beta of the doodlebug, please try the new package for this engine.

All info is here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2097

Thanks!

I have had the same error with messed up routes. I know they were messed up because I messed them up. Whilemakingmy own route, I made the GPS markers for it, once I activated them, I noticed the GPS markers from the CSX Mainline were also displaying. I discovered that the GPS markers for the CSX were in the Kuju/RailsimulatorUS folder structure, so I moved them out of there to their own folder. In the process of trial and error trying to get rid of them, I got the non serialized error several times, at one point RW wouldnt even load. Once I got everything straightened out all was well, no error and no CSX GPS markers in my route. I have had to patch the P&LE route and Tori's C&O as both of those routes' GPS markers were also displaying in my routes listings.

What I discovered was GPS markers need to be in the route author's developer's folder structure to not effect other routes.

So routes and repaints can cause this error.
