Blueprint Error

Unread postby sleepyto » Thu Apr 21, 2011 2:59 am

Hi Gang:

Since the new update I am experiencing a error with the blueprint editor.

I am trying to make a Fixed Network Blueprint. Before the update I had made appx 40 FNB's with no problem.

Now I am getting the error in the attachment. For some reason after I hit the export button I get the error shown, due to the [00] being added to the entry.

Any Ideas

Hi,

Does this only happen on the fixed network BPs? Just ran a 'normal' object and a track network BP export and both worked fine. Don't have any fixed network items at the moment though.

Have you tried editing the xml file manually (a text editor will do) before exporting, you could try and delete the [00] and add an .IGS to the end, then save the xml, open the blueprint editor and hit export. Maybe it works.

Cheers,
Michael

I just ran some road network BP's with no problem. I tried to run some Fixed Network BP's that I had successfully ran before the update and they get the same error. When I ran the FNBP with only the top geomentry ID entered it had a successful build however it doesn't work right in RW because you need the second geomentry entry.

This very strange! I'm as puzzled as you are. I'll try and run an export too... but first I need to look into the basics of road Ts and Xs though. Wiki to the rescue!
Just a wild guess here: is the first IGS entry (cross section) needed for the fixed network BP? I always thought cross sections were only used on lofted objects.

Cheers,
Michael

Don't know it is just what I have always done and up until now I have not had any problems. What has got me confused is that ones that worked a couple of days ago don't now.
Something got hammered somehow. I'm still searching for the answer. I have about 30 or 40 more to go.

Well I finally got it working. I copied the blueprint application from a backup copy of RW that had not been updated and pasted it in the one that had been updated and all is okay now.
Good thing for backups that don't get updated. Still this means that if RW gets updated then I will probably have to do it all over again **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!**
Wonderful Wonderful these computer gagets.
