When going down hill water goes to 1% and the engine comes to a stop. Is there any way to regenerate the water back up. I'm not playing on a scenario, i just free roam.

What engine does this and are you using auto firing or manual?

I'm using the B&LE santa fe Bessemer. I'm not really expert on some of this, auto firing is what exactly. My guess is auto.

Use auto-firing. Otherwise you have to pay close attention to the water level in the boiler, using the I and J keys for the water injectors. With those ON, you will lose steam, however, so it's a major juggling act.

There are a few threads on firing here and elsewhere, so read one of them.

The problem is when going down hill the water level is at 80 or 90% and 1 sec later drops to 1% and get it regenerate back to the full amount. When that happens its like the game is over, especially when i use my own free-roam session. I be stuck in the middle of nowhere. lol

Run with auto firing. This has been my problem with TS steam in general. It's far too hard a task to juggle firing and running the locomotive at the same time. Exactly why there are two men in reality who do it.
