Cars Driving Through Signal Crossing.

I'm having a problem when trying to place down a signal crossing for a road to stop traffic when a train comes.

Seems like no matter what I do the cars just keep driving through the crossing and drive right through the train, ignoring the crossing completely.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?

Currently I'm stumped.

!*don-know!*

Your crossing must have markers for the rail(s) and for each direction on the road. These markers have to point into the direction of the crossing and are the point, where the cars would stop if the crossing is closed. It's normal, that one roadmarker always points in the wrong direction but you can turn it with the shift key. If the marker doesn't point to the crossing, the stopping point is ignored by the cars

It only wants to lay the arrows in the one direction, how do you make it spin them around?

Also, shift key does nothing.

Hold the Shift key down while depressing the left mouse button.

If the traffic node isn't changing colors when you mouse-over it then the shift key won't work.
You have to left click the crossing then go to the traffic node and watch for it to change color then use the shift key, you can only used the shift key once for each direction change otherwise just click again.
One of the best ways to do it is to just move the traffic node, then change its direction using the shift key.
