Non working Steam

If this is in the wrong forum I apologise, but I have tried to start Steam up many times today, and it just doesn't show.
I am using the method I always have when logging in to Steam, so no difference there, and trying to find a category on the so-called Steam "help" line, well, I would have more chance of knitting fog!

After you have logged in, does the steam icon appear in the 'hidden icons' section of your taskbar? (click the ^ symbol at the bottom right corner of the windows taskbar)

Does anything happen after you click on whatever you are clicking on to try to start Steam?

Doesn't really matter anymore, because I have uninstalled Steam. My "appetite" for TS has diminished of late, so for the time being its back to MSTS. at least that program does not suffer from a third party program.

It seems silly to just give up on TS just because your computer is having an off day. This is technology after all. Did you try opening Task Manager to see if Steam was opened in the background? If so, close it and start it up again. I've had that problem at least once or twice.

Why did you bother to ask if you didn't care?

Because I sort of thought that I did, and that is freedom of choice.

So that's 3 contributors who are actively working on projects for our community, who took time from their work to assist you, and not one word of thanks to any of them; only some indecisive comment about your "freedom of choice".
