EMDX GP-38s

MadMike1024's reskins for the JConnell GP-38 look great. He and Cesar Pach of DTM are two of the few who appreciate that demonstrators and leased locomotives can realistically be operated on almost any route over a wide timeframe. One small problem: the loco numbers seem to be fouled up in some way, showing "MISSING TEXTURE" errors on both locos, and some of the number is in black instead of white. I've tried all the tricks I can thing of, including clearing the cache, removing PAK files, uninstalling and reinstalling both JConnell's basic package and MadMike's repaint, but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

I'll take a look, seems odd. There shouldn't be any numbers autogenerated on the cab sides. Only in the number boards.

A little later: *!embar*! I didn't reset the file pointers to the distinct folder. The numbers are custom and won't work with the default system.

I'll upload the fixed file in a few minutes.

Mike-

I just downloaded today's (6 April) update, and they look grand. I also found your E7 and F7 SP reskins, and they're equally good. I'll have to admit that I favor four or five F7s at the front end rather than one or two SD70s or the like.

By the way, I just discovered something that most others may well already know: the BritKits E and F B-units can be driven as if they had hostler's controls. So far as I know, these are the only ones with that capability. I used to see B-units moving around by themselves in the Kansas City yards when I was young, and it took years to learn why. What a great AI idea for a sufficiently large yard.

Many thanks, again.
