Hope somebody can point me in the right direction. I did find one Google post regarding the same issue from 6 years ago, but there was no answer then.

I am in the process of a couple of reskins for the upcoming B&LE - the issue I am having is with resaving the edited textures via DTXBMP and Win 10. Here is the process; open the texture for edit with RWTools and convert to dds file. Use DXTBMP to extract the alpha channel and send that to photoshop for editing. Edit the file as appropriate. In DXTBMP reload the updated alpha which reflects the edits. Save as dds file. It is at this point, that the edits are not saved, whether I try and over-right the existing file in the RW Tools temp folder or save as a complete new file anywhere else. I have looked at the folder permissions and they look file. I have adjusted the rights on both DTXBMP and RWTools to Administrator and am running in Win 7 comparability mode. It is driving me up the wall **!!bang!!**

I am nearly finished, infact all I need to do is re-position some text within a texture and it is done, but at this point it is !*hp*!

*!!thnx!!*

!*cheers*!

Does it pop up with a message? I have never in all my years with DXTBmp ever had it not pop up with a 'do you want to overwirite' or something even if only for a second?

Have you checked the permissions on the folder that contains the file you're trying to overwrite? Check all of that folder's parent folders too.

Try using RSBin Tool to convert the TGPCX to DDS...
