I don't know what these letters signify on the end of the GE ES44 models, but I suppose they could mean Alternating and Direct Current. What you say?
At any rate, in my quest to bury Dan Hernandez, I entered in the Windows search box of the Asset folders folder, "radio.dav". The list was huge. Using this as a guide, I went to each individual listing and the "Cab" folder of each engine, and removed the "radio.dav" file. Fired up TS and checked each engine to see if indeed Dan was gone. Success, with one exception. The offender (who must like Dan), was the GE ES44AC. However, if I selected the GE ES44DC, Dan was no where to be found. Hooray! So I doubled checked the Kuju and all the RSC asset folders and the radio.dav files were gone, as they should have been as I previously had removed them. So my question is, where do I find the GE ES44AC loco? It happens to be in Union Pacific clothes but I don't think that makes any difference. Oh, I unpacked all the ap folders of the assets that came packed that way. Hope someone has the answer to where the AC is. I need to finish burying Dan.
Thanks

You are correct on the AC and DC. As far as Dan, he's such a nice man.

Yes, but to get to the Cab folder to remove the radio.dav file, you have to go this path: Railworks\Assets\Kuju\Rail SimulatorUS\Audio\Rail Vehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab\T_ES44_Cab_radio.dav. I have removed the radio.dav file from the Cab folder, but Dan still keeps harping away in the ES44AC loco but NOT in the ES44DC loco. What am I missing here?

Probably the cab radio element in the blueprint links to another sound file.
It's probably in the cab audio blueprint (I'm at work right now), but just follow the trail from the engine blueprint.

Are the files you mention proxyxml files?

Starting with the engine blueprint: Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44AC\Black\Engine\ES44AC_black.bin
Inside we find a link to the cab audio blueprint: Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab\ES44 Cab Sound.bin
Inside this we find a link to the cab audio proxy: Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab\Class ES44 Cab.proxybin
Inside this we find a definition for a SingleSampleSound named "Radio". It links to the radio sound clip: <Filename d:type="cDeltaString">Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab\T_ES44_Cab_Radio.dav</Filename>.
And there's your foreman Dan Hernandez.

Thanks Chacal, but he is NOT my foreman. I would never had hired him in the first place! Seeing that the ES44AC is the only loco I have that I have not been able to show him the door, I'll just avoid using that particular model of motive power in the sim.
Thanks

Why can't you? just delete the above sound file.
What repaint of the ES44AC are you using? Is the radio sound present with all ES44AC repaints?
Edit: Oh wait, I'm stupid. Deleting the sound file has no effect if the engine is packed in a .ap archive.
For these, you have to put a dummy sound file in the correct folder outside of the .ap archive, so that the game uses it instead of the one in the .ap archive.
I don't know if this is the case for the ES44AC (I'm at work).

I have deleted that sound file from the ES44 Cab folder, yet he still chatters when I select the Union Pacific ES44AC model in a QD scenario..You listed three bin files that link together towards the final file at the end of that chain. I don't know what or how to modify the final linked file.
You mentioned the unpacked Kuju ap folder. To double check myself, I unpacked it again and then checked the three loco's listed. The ES44, F7 and the SD40. The radio.dav file was back present again in the ES44 and F7, but not the SD40. I removed it from the Cab folder of the ES44 and F7, yet when I opened the QD scenario with the ES44AC, Dan was still chatting away. Can you modify the file that you referenced above and attach it for me so I can test it to see if it works?
Thanks
