Problem with GN Tracks Buffer.

Okay I am having a frustrating problem with the Great Northern tracks. When I terminate a length of track the buffer does not appear. I have removed all traces of the old file including the routes using that track rule. Cleared the cache, reloaded the file and still have this problem.

Now maybe I am mistaken but I swear that when using GN tracks earlier they did place a buffer on the end of the track automatically.

Any ideas anyone?

I've had the same problem. All that I've done is add one from the assets.

Okay, I thought I had it fixed. If I placed a default piece of track then the GN track, the GN track would sorta get the idea and place buffers. It worked for five tests then stopped working. So I hate to give up on a problem but this is causing more grey hair than it is worth. End of the line on this one.

There's a spot in the track rule bin file that says something like begin with buffer and end with buffer. I don't remember if it's supposed to read true or a "1". I know there is a spot there also to specify the buffer texture you want it to use. I will try to get the specifics when I fire up the "big" computer.

AFAIK in tracks blueprints, we should define END Geometry and START Geometry as buffers blueprints.
Check the files and see if both are present or not.
Sleepers are middle geometry with population defined.

Holy Smokes! There is joy in Mudville tonight, the mighty Casey has not struck out! GN track buffers is now solved!

Thank you gentlemen for the reply posts. They all helped out by adding fuel to the "think it out" fire.

So first off I was looking in the wrong Bin file. I was looking in Track Rules and not at the Bin file for the specific track model. After opening the correct Bin file with RW Tools I found the Buffer entry. It referenced the Kuju RailSimulatorUS RailNetwork Buffer. I also looked at some other Track Bin files for comparison. However they all referred to a xml document which caused a little confusion at first till I figured it was a reference to the BluePrint. So then with some experimenting in Build Editor I found the amazingly easy answer.

When using GN Track you have to ensure you have Kuju RailSimulatorUS checked in the Provider Assets Flyout to get Buffers to show up automatically. That's it. All that frustration for a simple answer.

So once again thank you for the reply posts. It really does take a village. A village where I will be applying for official idiot next elections. *!lol!*
