VNHRR ground texture missing

So I went to try out VNHRR scenario [GE 44-tonner] Bradley Field Distribution. Well I'm getting a missing ground texture grid all over the place in bands. I ran RWTools and it didn't find any issues. Anyone else have this issue?

yea it's the whole route. It's missing the ground texture. It just worked fine yesterday. I did nothing extra to the game.

This is a strange error, I've never heard of that one before. *!sad!* When you "nothing extra" new in the game though, does that include stuff like newly installed freeware downloads or Workshop subscriptions? I'm only asking because only a few days ago, I had almost completely wrecked my TS installation by downloading what appears to have been a corrupt scenario file (don't know which one though, I deleted all the new ones and the game worked again). And who knows what else could have happened... files wiped or damaged by a game crash, maybe?

The main advice in cases like this is probably to use Steam's "Verify Local Files" feature, which can be painful though if you have installed some mods that overwrite DTG content (sound or physics packs and the like).

So if you want to check your route manually instead, the Springfield Line lives in the folder
...Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\c427bd51-0f8f-4edb-948b-e9b5ceadd48f\
The terrain painting tiles are in the MixMap folder, which should consist of 1,381 bin files totaling around 129 MB.

The textures and texturing blueprint can be found in
...Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\VNHRR\Springfield\Environment\Terrain\
Blueprint is called Texturing.bin (20.5 kB) and there should around 52 MB of texture files in four subfolders called Fields, Flora, Misc and Textures.

It's a fresh install of the game. I haven't changed any files or modded anything to the VNHRR. I'll look deeper into the files you suggest since I still have the original files backed up I can always use that to extract the necessary files.
So I checked all the files and they are the correct sizes. Just to be safe I recopied them from my back up. Nothing changed so I went into steam unchecked that one route so it would uninstall it then removed any left over files re downloaded the route in steam opened it in game and still have no ground textures. I've checked my video setting and everything I can think of but nothing has worked. !*hp*!

It's not the only route missing ground textures. I completely wiped my install again and starting from scratch. This game through Steam has been nothing but one issue after another. How can it keep corrupting its self? Like I said before and I'm going to try it again, all I did was download the game remove the content I didn't want through the Steam check boxes then tried to play it. I unpacked all the ap files and used RWTools to make all files read\write and that is all the modification I did to a completely fresh install and it's missing important things. I just don't get it. I won't buy any other games through Steam except for Railworks since that's the only way to get content for it. !*not-ok*!

Sorry to hear about those woes. It is a rather puzzling thing, if all files are there, why won't the game use them? Something very strange is going on. I just loaded the 44-tonner Bradley Field scenario in my local copy (the Steam version downloaded from there, not my dev build) and everything looks as it should.

I went into steam unchecked that one route so it would uninstall it then removed any left over files re downloaded the route in steam opened it in game and still have no ground textures.

This was my last resort of things to try and check. I now don't even know in which area of the game or computer to begin looking for a solution, other than calling DTG support for help.

It's ok. I spent 8hrs yesterday completely redoing my install again. Everything now seems to be working fine. I have all my ground textures now. So I have been paying very close attention to everything I'm clicking just in case.
