59.2a Dump

"Saved dump file to 'D:\TempDump\v59.2a.dmp'" is common among us. I usually get it when a route gets to big. However, i'm getting this as a start up error when trying to launch the game. Just deleted all my railworks stuff (Backups of the SGRY Scenic and Division subs still here) and reinstalled my game and yet i'm getting this error.

What should I do?

Another cause of this is corrupted workshop files. Try taking them out of the game and see if that fixes the problem. If it does add them back in one at a time until you find out which one might be the problem. I assume you have run a cache verify.

I verified the integrity of my game files and before I reinstalled it gave me 214 files were messed up in a way and I can't verify the cache since i can't open the game proper. Ill remove my workshop downloads and get back to ya if that works!
*!!thnx!!*

Removed all of my TS workshop subscriptions and reinstalled my game fully and the error is still popping up. I have no clue what could be causing it now.

Start TS with Logmate and post the relevant part of the error log, or put it on a file sharing service if it's too big.

[RunTimeError 12:43:04 PM] Trace mdump.cpp : 422 = error handlers have been set
[Content 12:43:07 PM] Trace Pc\cHcDisplayManagerPc.cpp : 502 = Card doesn't support the necessary rendertarget/depthbuffer formats
[RunTimeError 12:43:07 PM] Trace mdump.cpp : 381 = Dump taken

I would take a stab and guess that means that this has to do with my graphics card?

What is your graphics card? Suggest checking to see if there is a newer driver for your card.

Where can i find my Graphics Card info? I managed to find the actual computer specs I posted above by pure luck.

It's funny, I play the PC all the time and yet I barley know anything about the PC in general...

Go into system properties\ device manager. Look for Display adapters. Click on it and it should tell you what the card is.

It's a AMD Radeon R9 200 series. Yeah. No wonder the game is giving me fits since it's a game for a Navida card. Oddly enough the game has run fine with my card before.

I checked to see if my drivers could get updated and "WIndows has determined that the best driver for this device is already installed"

Search with AMD. Windows is often dumb.

Updated my drivers and it is still giving me a dump. Same one as before:
Code: Select all
Trace Pc\cHcDisplayManagerPc.cpp : 502 = Card doesn't support the necessary rendertarget/depthbuffer formats

You might try going to AMD directly. Some times there is a driver update utility or you can drill down through the menu. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

When you uninstalled the game, did you also delete / move the folders under Railworks? Especially the Assets and Content folders.
