F7 braking non-existant

Hi all,
Had a few problems with the WS scenario "Chicago North Western anniversary tour Part1". Eventually these were resolved and I completed the run with no problems. That is until it came to stopping the train at it's destination. I needed full dynamic and emergency braking to stop from 20MPH.and even then it felt as if it had just coasted to a stop.
Prior to running this scenario the author had pointed to the file "f7-rw3-cnw-with-coach.zip as being needed. It was while getting this file I noticed the "F7 Empire Builder Fixes.zip" which I also downloaded and installed. Has anybody else installed this latter file and found the same problem?
