Get rid of image mistakenly attached to workshop scenario?

Unread postby OldProf » Tue Aug 09, 2016 12:01 pm

When I finally succeeded in uploading my latest Steam Workshop scenario, "Cricklewood Duties," I accidentally attached a screen shot to it that belongs with a different scenario. I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of that errant image, but without success. So, I'm hoping that another forum member can advise me.

Thanks in advance,

!!howdy!!

Are you talking about the image in the information folder Tom, or the screen shots?
If it's the info picture you have to fix that in the scenario's folder and re-upload it. It will then show it's been updated at Steam.
The screen shots can be changed in the Workshop itself. The link for that will be on the right side of the Workshop window for your scenario. You can have up to 8.

The screen shots, Eric. I think. When I open Steam Workshop and search for my scenario, the correct screenshot appears on the Description tab, as it should; however, when I select "Your Workshop Files>Files You've Posted" the scenario appears with the wrong picture. I'm guessing that the wrong one is the info picture, but I'm not sure. Am I right?

One other question: if I delete the scenario and upload it again, will all the comments that have been posted already vanish?

Thanks!!!

You don't delete it just re-upload and it will show as being updated.

1. Open Steam.
2. Scroll down and click on Browse the Workshop.
3. Below the top banner, Most Popular Items appears to the left and to the right there's a box headed "Your Workshop Files" with "Your Files" and a small arrowhead below it. Hover over that arrowhead and several choices appear, the top one (for me, anyway) being "Files You've Posted". Just click that.
Right now, my mis-pictured latest scenario appears followed by 9 blanks, which, I imagine, represent my attempts to upload that latest scenario, for each of which an approval to post popped up, followed by a "Failed to upload" about 37 seconds after I clicked the Upload button. I'm going to delete all of those after posting this message.
