Low FPS with Soldier Summit.

I've got really low FPS when playing Soldier Summit and also Sherman Hill.
All other routes are fine.
I was wondering if anyone knows a solution and/or cause of this on these two routes.

What rolling stock are you using and have you tried some other stuff?

I was driving the included rolling stock in the included scenarios for Soldier Summit. I've figured out the SD40T-2 makes the FPS drop like a rock.
I've tried a couple of Workshop scenarios with the S.P. SD45, but get the same results. (not quite as bad with the SD45 but still bad)
I know my system is 3 years old, but I should be able to maintain over 60FPS when I get out of yard areas.

In the case of Sherman, my FPS are low even out in the country with no houses etc around. I've noticed on Sherman the problem is worse when a scenario with the thunder storms is being played.

On Soldier Summit my FPS is frequently dropping to 20 something even out of town and yard areas.

I've tried turning settings like shadows down and making sure the headlight flares etc are off, but it made no difference.
I noticed that the AA is almost non existent as well. (AA issue is Soldier Summit only)

I've reinstalled Soldier Summit to no avail.
I also determined the CPU can't feed the GPU properly. There is something about Soldier Summit and Sherman that choke up my CPU and won't let the GPU run at more than the high 30% range.

I have a GTX780 and i5 3570k at 4ghz.

You do have a issue. I have essentially the same rig and I'm getting 40in Cheyenne with a train going by the other way and sixty out in the country and that's with the 40T. Using bandicam for FPS.

On Soldiers Summit with the 40T and a huge long train (one of the career scenarios) it dragged down into the high thirties but with the SD45 and acoal drag I was at 45 in town and 60-77 out in the country.

CPU is running about 40%.

Yep... I don't get it.
It's just those two routes that cause me issues.
I can turn V-Sync off on other routes and get 80 to over 100 fps in the open country. (with higher settings I might add)
On Soldier Summit and Sherman Hill, the track moir aliasing etc are also terrible.

At one point in the past I wondered if my CPU wasn't running right, or if there was a problem with my MSI board, but according to Intel's test software, my board and chipset are supposed to be fine.

It's a moot point now, since I got my first refund from Steam on this.
I'm sick of this inconsistency.

I think from now on, if I ever buy another route, I'm going to stick to third party stuff.

I get between the high 20s to mid 40s fps on SS driving the SD402-T.
