PennCoal Dash9 not driveable

Hello all,
I wanted to use the default Dash9 that came with the PennCoal Route with different sounds for the engine, but wanted to make another "not repaint" but another folder with the same paint, engine etc. I copied the main Folder from the PennCoal route from the Dash9, renamed it so it wouldn't read the default, I edited the bin for that engine, changed it to the appropriate folder name, and saved. I went to create a quick scenario, saw the engine listed as the v2 Dash9, added it to the track, made sure i did the drive icon, then saved the scenario. It loads up, click on the engine, and its not driveable? I even repeated the same steps for another unit to see if I forgot something, but there was no issue the train was drivable.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Does it bring up the HUD bar when you click on it?

The Dash 9 that comes with the Penn/NS coal route is for AI trains only and not driveable by the player.

Are you sure? I've placed that locomotive on the tracks in free roam editor and I can drive it.

I've also made a QD consist with it as the leader, and it works fine.

yes it does bring the HUD up when I click on the engine. However none of the keyboard commands work and I tried moving the controls on the HUD but is unsuccessful.

I suggest you probably have some phrase or line in the bin file goofed up. I know you are going to say it's perfect. I have said that to myself at least maybe 500 times only to find out there was one letter or word causing the problem.

Buzz, I even deleted the Bin file I edited and started over, and I am still having the same issue, I don't see anywhere or anything that would cause this problem, it doesn't make sense.

To be honest, I've never tried it. I'm just going by what it says on the DTG store page. I'll defer to your experience.

Alright so for the last couple of Hours I have been troubleshooting, I have successfully made the secondary Unit driveable.
Here is was what I did:
I saw a video on YouTube of making a copy of any train you want to add custom engine/horn sounds etc, even repaints.. I followed the steps that were in the video. However, when opening the .Bin file of the unit you want to edit, He insisted on changing the name of the path and folder name, but that wasn't the case. I only changed the name of the Unit description and the default path stayed the same. Appreciate the help to everyone who responded back!

For the people who said they cant use it at all...
When I downloaded the route, I've always been able to create a free roam/or quick drive scenario with the Dash 9 and been able to use it. I like it more than the ES44AC honestly. Even has the flashing ditch lights. Just doesn't have a great horn.

Oh I changed the horn instantly, but I was so happy when they added the flashing ditch lights and made the ES44AC'S bell turn on automatically when the horn is blown.
