Budd RDC Horn

Unread postby Nitsujy12345 » Fri Mar 25, 2016 6:41 pm

I was attempting to make a new horn for the Budd RDC. I got the Start, loop, and end files all where needed. After testing, my horn did not play the end sound. I then realized, the default horn is doing this too.
Then I realized that if I press space again a few seconds after releasing space, it will then play the end sound.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I would replace the XML with another engine's, but the horn is mixed in with the rest of the engine sounds.

Try checking the proxyxml. There's bound to be some wrong piece of text causing the problem.

I tried messing around with everything, but I can't find anything to fix...I wish it had been made to be a separate file, I wouldn't have issues then

Have you tried renaming a different proxyxml (say the "Class ES44 Horn" proxyxml) and replacing the existing proxy and editing that new proxy so that it's directed to the horn? If so I'm out of ideas.

That is exactly what I was going to do. Until I realized I can't. All of the engine sounds, the notches and horns and everything, are all in one file. It is essentially the only one I've ever seen set up that way. I don't really know where to go from here

Hi,

Ouch, that's an awfully long time after the release to find a new bug. !!**sorry**!!
Let me try to address this issue in the blueprints and post a patch.

That's a brilliant horn sound you've created there.

Cheers
Michael

Thank you! No problem, any good model is bound to have bugs! Love the model otherwise, gotta say.
