Moving Shadows Under NS Coal District ES44AC

Unread postby FHRob » Mon Mar 07, 2016 12:07 pm

I noticed when there's snow on the tracks, this version of the ES44AC has strange moving shadows between the rails. !*don-know!* When there's other weather conditions, the moving shadows aren't present.

Does this have something to do with the softshade.TgPcDx file?

It looks as if the snow texture layer between the rails is higher up than the softshade texture layer belonging to the diesel, leading to that unfortunate effect.

I thought that softshades have been made redundant by the dynamic shadows introduced in RW3, yet almost every creator still uses them?
Many softshades are too wide, too dark or too high up.
