This is a massive amount of structures, streets, trees, lights and poles. It will push the limit of patience and processing power. It will get done. With that said, let me describe the approach. For weeks, I have been doing the setup work to get enough highway and streets in so I can start on buildings. If you imagine a large letter "U" over the image, I will be working from the top left of the "U" down around the bottom and back up to the top right. Its all about delayed gratification. I really want to work the Hoboken side to the North of the track. So, to get to the "good stuff" I have to do the Jersey City side first, which is much more difficult. In the image you see the 2 highways going from top to bottom and then the stop short. Well where that stop is on the left - that is the Toll Plaza for the Holland Tunnel. The toll plaza and the part of the Holland will be installed on the route. I think you may be able to see it from track 18 in HBT. While you may not be able to directly see it from the trains, all the buildings and rooflines you definitely can see. I will be matching all structure foot prints to at least 2000 feet on each side of the track. For those of you that have the route - building placement is our signature - its just what we do. You would not believe how many gas stations there just before the Eastbound entrance to the tunnel, when I am done, you will be able to count them for yourself! The benefit for you will at least be a very excellent backdrop for railfanning and picture taking of your favorite loco on the Bergen Line. You will also be able to take aerial shots of your train with full scenery as well. I knew this was going to be a bear and it hasn't disappointed. Trust me, I would rather be laying track and running trains. But when I say I am going to finish something - I finish it.
