New York Division - Bergen Line

Unread postby cnbalasub » Fri Feb 05, 2016 8:27 pm

Earlier this evening I pick this scenario from the workshop at Train Simulator 2016. Yes I do have all the packs that are required to run this scenario. But for some reasons when I picked this scenario in Workshop and nothing click to run this scenario. I am not sure what is the problem with this? I did try to run this on RW_Tools but can't because this message said that This is A Quick Drive scenario It can't be edited by the user. I am not sure what is the problem with this scenario because I can't run through this in RW_Tools program. Any idea what else to look for to solve the problem?

Thank you,

John

Oh -- am I confusing you about this?? Is that an addon to another route, North Jersey Coast Line Route or this route, New York Division - Bergen Line is an standalone route?

I am not sure what do I look for with this problem?

The Bergen is a standalone route from the workplace. Thousands of us are following it's development so it seems to have integrity. I suggest you run LogMate and see what's causing the crash. It's probably some other asset that is causing the problem.

I am not sure what to do with LOGMATE but see this in the folder " Common ". You mean that I clicked the icon, " LOGMATE " then it will run the program to check the problem of this route?

Search for "logmate" in the forums. You'll find instructions for its use.

OK I did c licked the application of LogMate and show me nothing in the box like " Save logs " or " Clear Logs " or " Exit " under Files. The next column with " Edit " -- " Preferences " or " Paused " or " Select All " and the next column with " Windows " -- " ALL " with a check mark in the box and at last with the fourth column " Help " -- " About " on top row of the box and in the big box show blank with the word " All " So I assumed that I don't have any problem with this for this route but still can't click " Drive " because of faded gray in the box under Workshop on top row in " Drive ".

I am not sure exactly what is the problem with this so I just unsubscribed this route from Workshop because I don't see any errors but for some reasons I can't run this route in my program of Train Simulator. I am not going to waste more time trying to figure out what is the problem so the best thing is to unsubscribed this route.

Thank you,

John

I know it's tough to read instructions but you will have a tough time going through life without reading them.

Guess that I have to read all the messages related to LogMate here in this forum and will try again to see if I understand how it works?

OK I did run through the program of RW_Tools twice and show me nothing with the errors of this route but I don't see any scenarios. Is this a problem that I had no scenarios to run on this route? More likely yes and did the creator of this route provide scenarios or not? I see all kind of screenshots that the creator posted the scenario but where are those scenarios to download? It have to be somewhere to download or come with the installer of this route but I did not get any of these when I subscribe the route in Workshop at the program of Train Simulator 2016.

Thank you again,

John

I have been working with John via PM and he got the Bergen to work. I had no idea there was Problem and Peculiarities page and that the Bergen was under such a title.

Reading the post here adds some background to John's questions that he broached to me.

The single word the jumps out at me here is there word "Scenario".
The Bergen is still a Work in Progress and so is not finalized. Only routes that are finalized can have scenarios made for them. After a route receives 40 positive votes the builder can opt to "finalize" his route. The Bergen has 104 votes but I am not finished yet! There is much, much more to build.

To hopefully hold over John and others seeking scenarios, I have packed the route with static cars and locomotives that can be viewed in over a Dozen Quick drives. They are very simple, but you can tour the route. The Dundee Park and Pascack freight QD'S are constructed so that you can drop a loco or 2 down and grab a string of cars to deliver.

Everything you need to know is in the route description. If all else fails !*hp*! I will jump in and get you squared away.

John welcome to the New York Division - Bergen Line!
