Battenkill RS-3 Problems

Unread postby munkelwitz » Wed Sep 16, 2015 9:59 am

When I install the Battenkill RS-3 I get the B&M 1542 in maroon and gold. The instructions also require copying about 10 GeoPcx files from "Default" (Britkits) to the new Engine folders; there are only 5 such files in my Default folder, but 10 in the the original B&M repaint folders. Any ideas as to what is happening here?

OK about the Geos you have to sort of poke around between the default, the B&M and the RSC3 locomotives to find all these Geos. Then on my rig where I have my settings fairly high as I think you do Rick only put the Battenkill and the Greenwich re-paints into the nmc texture folder. and not the nm texture folder. The easiest way to fix this is go in and make your rs3-01_nm.TgPcDx into rs3-01_nm.xxx . Then take your rs3-01_nmc.TgPcDx copy it some where where you can re-name it rs3-01_nm.TgPcDx and then paste it back into the texture folder. Now the re-paints should show up properly.

Thanks. That fixed the exterior paint scheme. I still see B&M maroon in the cab view.

Incidentally, I've seen this problem before and reduced my detail level to middle from highest. That didn't solve the problem, so I posted the question above.

I was missing some detail like station platforms on the Dresedn-Schoena Route with the detail level set to user; raising the detail level restored the detail.

Thanks for the quick fix, Buzz. I will take a look at uploading a corrected version!

In Richard's locomotives that same set of Geo's is in the cabview so you have to make the same modification there to get the exterior to show properly from the cab.

Sorry to bump an old thread but the horn doesn't work on the BM's and the Battenkill's. I have no Idea what is wrong with them. I believe they are installed properly. P.S. I just got a ride from (on 4116) Shushan NY to Eagle Bridge NY, then made my way up to Salem NY back through Shushan. Very fun. !!*ok*!! The owner is very nice !!*ok*!!
