TS2015 Lagging with TSX on

Unread postby FoodMonsterGuy » Sat May 09, 2015 9:03 pm

TS2015 tends to be more laggy with TSX on for me and it never did this in TS2014. A little over a month before TS2015 was released my other computer got fried and the one I use now is a little faster. Is this an issue with anyone else? For now I turn TSX off.

When you say this computer is a little faster do you mean you have a better video card and are getting worse performance? Make sure the card is indeed better or you'll have to retune your settings.

Yeah I know it's below the minimum requirements but my older laptop I used had a 1.3 GHz process I think and slower video card maybe and ran just fine with TSX on and low settings enabled.

I don't think anyone would be able to help you as you are running TS on a note book which is way below minimum spec. All I can say is get a proper gaming computer if you can with something like an Intel i3, i5 or i7 processor. Sorry to be so blunt.

Sometimes after an update the settings get changed back to default, even though the sliders show your old settings.
You might want to turn everything to low then restart the sim.
Then go back in and try some settings that you usually use.
I have a i5 3570k at 4.0 GHz and a GTX780 and I can't run smoothly without turning shadows and water to medium, headlight flares, procederal flora etc to off.
Scenery should always be set to the highest setting, otherwise buildings, crossings etc start to disappear.

I occasionally turn things up for a screen shot but not for normal running.

Correction: yes you can. It's called "dynamic lighting" in the options. It's misleading because it also includes the rain.
