Help! I'm a victim of Google!

Without really intending to do so, at some point I must have clicked something that opened a Google account in my name. I've looked at the option for eliminating this account and as part of it Google threatens to delete 2 videos from YouTube and an undisclosed number of photos from an unidentified site (the only place to which I upload photos is Photobucket -- is that also part of the evil google empire?).

But enough of my problems. Here's what I really want to know: Is it possible to use YouTube without accepting google citizenship? If so, how? If not, is there another place to store video files on line and upload them to RWA?

Thanks.

Check out Flickr. See if that works for you.

Thanks, Buzz. Just took a look and creating a Yahoo account there requires a mobile number -- I don't have one. How's that for being out of the loop?

[Actually, I do have one, which I carry only when I', out bicycling, and no one knows the number.]

Unless you don't want to upload or comment, you have to have an account with Google to post on Youtube.

Vimeo is another option you can use.

Tom, Google owns You Tube and Google ties all things Google together unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be.
I needed a free download site for TS files and found out I already had a Google Drive account setup, because of the way they do things.
In the Drive account case, it was nice they had everything Google linked together, but I understand your feelings, I don't always want my Google stuff tied together.
I think it's a potential security problem for one thing. If they hack one of your Google owned things, they can now get into all a persons Google owned things...

Last time I checked, Yahoo was also owned by Google.
