Problem With Saved Scenario - Class 395 London To Faversham

Unread postby FHRob » Mon Mar 02, 2015 4:28 pm

Today, I ran scenarios using the Class 395. When starting a saved scenario, the train is always in emergency. !*don-know!*

I haven't run the London to Faversham route recently, but last time I did, I thought this issue had been fixed.

I could be thinking of another product with this problem that had been fixed. !*hp*!

I just tried out the 395 and the emergency brake came on while I was stopped at a station and wouldn't turn off.

Trev:

Try pulling the brake handle on the HUD all the way down. You should then be able to put the reverser into forward at that point.

Let me know how it goes.

There is indeed something "buggy" about this scenario. !*hp*!

I completed it at some point, but I'm not sure how. !*don-know!*

I noticed when the train goes into emergency, the "Train Fault Acknowledge" light on the left panel illuminates.

There's nothing in the instructions about this light, and how to turn it off, i.e. correct the fault. Any ideas?

Should be Frost Fall. I think another thing is you have got to obey the cab speeds not the hud speed. If say you are doing 140mph via the Hud 225kph and the cab reading starts flashing 200kph and you don't slow down this well set off the emergency brake. I shall have to read the manual again to understand the speed system. Haven't driven the 395 for 2 or 3 years.
Turning off the fault light might be Ctrl or Shift + E or F key.

From the manual. Reset Vigilance Device (DSD) Numpad Enter, Signal Buzzer C and Drivers Reminder Appliance (DRD) K.

Please re-read the OP! The problem, albeit poorly stated, is, "When starting a saved scenario, the train is always in emergency." For "starting", read "restarting, as in after a save and quit. Although TS is much better behaved than RS was in the matter of restarting a saved scenario, strange things do happen sometimes. My first remedy is to quit the scenario and restart it again -- a once simple maneuver rendered needlessly difficult by the "new and improved" menu system, but still possible. If that doesn't lead to success, try shutting down TS completely, restarting, and slogging through the menus again to resume the scenario. If all else fails, give it up and settle for a different scenario or just start screaming profanities and beating your computer with the handiest hard object.

Tom:

Isn't screaming profanities and beating your computer a no-no? !*roll-laugh*!

Admittedly, I've considered that. *!lol!*
