Hello all, I'm having a problem with A horn that I made on the SP SD45. I'm fairly new to RailWorks and how it works, as I came over from Trainz so don't bash. I can't really explain it, so I made a vid showing the issue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69fPyJvM-gI I also posted the horn to the file library and in it is the horn in full. Thanks!

I don't have this engine so I'm not sure if it is setup as start, loop, and end as well. But to me, sounds like it is not playing the end file, just the start and loop.

I think it has something to do with the loco's horn ProxyBINs and ProxyXMLs. After I installed simer4's EMD sound pack on the Kuju SD40s, I replaced the horn with mine and it worked perfectly. And that just brings a whole other new problem. I put the sound pack on the Kuju SD40 and the Donner Pass SD40/ tunnel motor, and when I edit the ProxyXML for the DP SD40s, it plays the same horn that is on the Kuju. I changed the filepaths in the file and renamed the sound files but to no avail. Then here's the weird part. I copied and pasted the DP SD40s ProxyXML into the Kuju's folder, overwrote, and it played the new horn on both locomotives. The only explaination I can come up with is the DP SD40s are going off the Kuju's ProxyXML.

The engine bin file shows the path to the horn.

(double facepalm) Well that was stupidly obvious. I guess you can lock the thread now, I can mess around with the game files on my own and probably get it to work. Thanks for helping through what seems all this basic stuff for you guys, and what is for me a whole new learning curve.

After screwing up dozens of times before mostly getting it right, nothing anybody does is stupid other than saying "I did it all perfectly and it still doesn't work."
