I was just playing "Short Freight to Sparks" in the DTM SP SD45 that I picked up for $3 yesterday...I'm mad that it just randomyl crashed when I was driving at a little over 55 mph east of Reno Station. Can anyone explain the reason why $--- like this happens?

Usually it's because some part of your computer gets overloaded with data and the program fails.

I had no programs running in the background...and my settings were on medium. I also coupled to the two SD40T-2's parked at the start of the scenario. I must troubleshoot DTG, I don't know DTM, for this.

I should be saving my scenario progress from now on...

What is your computer specs, operating system, whether 32bit or 64bit, Desktop or laptop, if a laptop make and model. First thing when software fails people always blame it for the problem when a lot of the times it is a hardware issue.

Have you tried replicating it? If it happens again in the same spot, then it's a software issue. Otherwise, it could have been an isolated incident.

Now I know something is wrong, because you shouldn't be coupling to two SD40s at the start of the scenario...
I ran that scenario last night with no problems.

Just ran it - no issues. Only thing of note was a slight hitch in loading shortly after coupling to the train.

Why is it bad to couple to the two SD40's?

I too have just ran that scenario with no problems. Max speed on the route is 45mph not 55mph. Coupling up to the other loco is not per the instructions and you could quite possibly not be able to complete the scenario with all the way points ticked.

There are alway.... ALWAYS ..... Programs running in background. MS Windows would not function if it weren't so.

I highly doubt it's possible even with the SD40's. Even if they're not part of the task list there are no timetables in the task list.

I tried it with the other locos and it still works.
