DTG was unhelpful. Wanted me to follow the 10 step troubleshooting program and report back even after I referenced the Facebook post from DTM stating that they had an issue and were sending DTG a patch.

Well, it's been discounted in the Steam Christman Sale, is it still missing its coupler texture, or, has it been updated yet, can anyone who already owns it confirm, pleeeeeeeeeze?

The answer is no. Get the WP GP35 and then the answer is they will show up properly. *!sad!*

Are you serious, Buzz? Despite all the complaints and reports DTM still hasn't applied the simple fix to the engine.bin files?

Contact DTM directly and they will send a patch that works. DTG may have the patch but may not have released an update. I think that we all know this can take weeks, months or years. *!greengrin!*

How do you know that they haven't and it's some where in the bureaucracy of DTG or Steam?

DTM have their own section here on RWA, they could have posted the fix there, or on their farcebook page knowing full well that DTG or Steam aren't always swift in their updates.
What concerns me most is the apparent lack of QA of one of the most dedicated providers to the US locomotive model market.
I have refunded this DLC and cannot remember if RW_Tools found the missing coupler shape and texture files. If it can't, you are sort of buggered and have to investigate deeper into the xml.

Sadder and wiser, I always open every engine.bin of any new DLC looking for errors and traces of lazy copy paste, plus I want to know how sounds, emitters, control variables and child objects are being used.
You'd be amazed with the amount of junk and errors one finds.

Sorry, but, I'm not throwing my money at the problem by obtaining something that I don't want, and neither should other folks.

I have the other Southern Specific SD45 by DTM, I'll ask someone how to sort out the pathing structure for the couplers and use those for both locomotive packs.

IIRC, the correct shape and texture files are all there in the SD45-2T package. One just has to change the paths in the engine.bins, and IIRC, also in the coupler shape files.
The latter is a bit tricky, as the paths to the textures are relative.
Just open the engine.bin files in RW_Tools and make sure the couplers are called from the correct location inside the SD45-2T folder.
Then open the coupler.GeoPcDx files in RW_Tools and make sure the textures are called from the correct location. IIRC, there was clearly a GP35 pack mentioned. Work the relative path to the correct textures out, something like ..\...\GP35 has to be removed so only textures\coupler.. and textures\hoses.. remain.

This should fix the coupler issue. Unzip and put this into the\DTM\SD45T-2-SP folder.

I had the same problem with the couplers disapearing. Looks better than the missing texture tho.
