If you don't end up getting the rwp files to work with the utilities, you can open rwp files using any zip program (winrar or 7zip for example) and then just copy the files into your assets folder from there.

Oops, guess I'm late to that. !!**sorry**!!

Unzipped the RWP with 7zip and dragged the directories to the proper place. Fired up quick-drive and noticed all the new engines where "light" so I created a nice new consist for Horseshoe Curve. !!*ok*!!

.rwp files are just zip files in effect if you use 7z that works.

Myself and many others use a program called 7 zip to install RWP files. Open the RWP file with 7 zip then up on the left top press extract and in the next window choose where your Railworks folder is then click ok or something like that and it is done. https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

I use 7-zip for RWP files too. Wish it would work the other way and create a RWP.

I had forgotten I had these. So I just re-downloaded and tried to install.

Installation instructions are still 200% crap and utilities software is still broken, but with the help of this thread I could . . . correction . . I thought it could be installed. Fiddled for 45 minutes and gave up.

I am fed up with paid products that need tons of free time to get working. In case anyone want some free DWS stuff sent me a pm.

Download 7-zip from here https://www.7-zip.org/download.html open the RWP file with it and press the blue extract button in the upper left and in the next window select where you want to put it like C Steamlibrary Steamapps Common Railworks then click OK and the program will do the rest.
