Britkits and 2012

Has anyone got some advoce on making RW2 Britkit repaints work in RW3?

In particular the F3 and E7 free and poayware versions have 2012 updates available for download from Dick Cowan's website, but when I install othger peoples reskins, I can't get them to show up in the sim. They are there, but they're invisible.

I've downloaded a couple of repaints from the RW3 file library here, and those work fine. It's the ones from the RW2 library that I have problems with. I've purchased both the F3 and E7 payware versions, so I know I have the necessary pieces.

There were changes to the geometry of the model when they were upgraded to RW3, so the older RW2 repaints will not work. I cannot speak for MadMike but he has updated several of his other Britkit repaints and its probably a matter of time before he catches up.

Yeah, I can read. My question was whether these are some of the ones with the problems.

I've spent three years learning how to fix problems with old Trainz assets, and I understand that some problems just aren't fixable. I wanted to know if these problems are not fixable so I wouldn't waste my time trying.

I'm new to Railworks. I'm not stupid or functionally illiterate.

Well excuse me!!!!!!

A lot of folks overlook some of the text on the website. I know. I get questions all the time from people that don't read everything.

I was just trying to help. You can rest assured that won't happen again. Not from me.

What I saw was a general question without pointing which re-paints (and authors) were not functioning. And then a general reply from Papa and another from Hawk as he usually does, both replies were enough in the generic circunstances and not different of what I've been seeing on here. If someone wants an especific help should be more especific about the problem, so re-paint's author can come to help; or user can also contact directly the re-paint creator as per Readme.txt.

IMHO Hawk didn't deserve that (last so far) post of OP.

Doc.

I hope you didn't think I was talking about you. !!**sorry**!!

[edit] The OP was needlessly rude! Everyone here has been incredibly helpful to me, and I never thought it condescending...

Not your response Hawk, the repsonse to your answer was rude. **!!2cents!!**

Sorry for the confusion, I was in no way insinuating that your answer was rude. I was trying to say the response to your answer was rude. !!**sorry**!!
