Coupling Issues GP40-2

Unread postby buzz456 » Mon Feb 27, 2023 3:36 pm

While we were testing the DTG GP40-2 for the upcoming striped version of the Western Pacific repaint the beta testers discovered that the loco won't couple to itself. After some fiddling around I got this fixed and thought I would post what I did here. Each bin file will have to be edited individually.

Then below that is:
<FrontPivotX d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="0000000000002240" d:precision="string">9</FrontPivotX> CHANGE TO 9.13
<FrontPivotY d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="000000000000E0BF" d:precision="string">-0.5</FrontPivotY>
<BackPivotX d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="00000000000022C0" d:precision="string">-9</BackPivotX> CHANGE TO -9.13
<BackPivotY d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="000000000000E0BF" d:precision="string">-0.5</BackPivotY>

Hopefully it will now couple to itself and other items.

Within what folder are the coupler front and rear bin files located? I Inside or outside the .ap file?

They are in the Engine folder for each loco and each variation e.g. nd, running, C & D need to be amended.

Here are the corrected bins for DRGW,UP,WP,WP_1976,WP_Bi. If anyone needs others and doesn't know how to do it just holler. Backups are included.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

If I build a file structure outside the .ap then these will be safe from overwriting during a file verify?

Yes is it the same model? I have a CSX in the same pack. Is that the one you need? DTG\GP40-2Pack01\RaolVehicles\Diesel\GP40-2\CSX
