Can Someone Explain How To Import RS11 Textures Please?

Can someone please explain how to correctly import the four Alco RS11 (Steam version) textures to a repaint? I'm having a hard time getting the textures to show up on the locomotive. It appears that only the cab texture wants to change, but the other three display the original textures. !*don-know!*

RU using the DXTBmp tool to convert from bmp to dds or some other method?

Well check if there is other textures that might have the old paint on em.

The sd60m has a hood_nmc hood_nm and a uphood texture
the only one that changes in game is the uphood. so that might be whats going on. idek tho

That gave me another thought. Some of these (I'm at work so can't check) have both a nm and a nmc texture file. One is for the higher rez settings and one for the lower. You may only be changing one and your computer is looking at the other in game.

Thank you both for responding. I do make sure that all textures (nm and nmc) get imported the same. As for this locomotive, there are two textures for the same mapping. As you can see in the screenshot, those textures are what I'm trying to get to work. Only the texture that covers the cab worked.

Check properties and make sure they aren't read only.

I tried making the folders writable by disabling the Read Only, but it seems that every time I try it just goes back to Read Only. Not sure why

Here is the repaint. (Penn Central repaint used because I wanted to see if replacing it's textures with mine would work. Didn't)

Note: I also tried disabling the Read Only for the whole vR_Addon4 folder. Nothing

Change each texture file individually to read/write. They should stay that way.

OK let's start at the beginning. Did you change the bin files to make a new locomotive or are you just putting the textures into the pennsy one? Not to be a wise guy but if you listen and answer my questions we will determine how to solve this problem here and in other re-paints.

I did everything I normally would do when creating a repaint. That includes copying the default and editing the .bin files.

There are a lot of bin files associated with this puppy so tell me which bin file or files you edited? Also go into the textures and put a.xxx after RS_11_1.TgPcDx folder and re-start TS and see if it shows missing textures or not.

I'm not sure if I did the renaming right on the texture (RS_11_1.TgPcDxxxx). I am editing the two .bins RS11.bin and RS11_a.bin. !*don-know!*
