Sw 1500 pack problem

Unread postby Cowbell » Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:34 am

I am having the problem of the top and front radiator grills not showing up on the engine. When I turn on the front light, they are floating in front of the engine. Can someone please tell me how something like this happens and how to fix it. Thanks

I think it's fixed. I ran the SW1500 today and it looked OK.

I have also had this problem from time to time. I think that when RW loads the engine it is misreading the child object portions of the bin file.

If you delete the engine and readd it most likely it will be OK the second time. (You may have to exit RW and then clear cache when you restart RW to get this to work).

I have also had problems with adding one version of the engine, deleted it and then added a different version of the engine and it worked fine.

Dick's switchers have a lot of child objects attached to them and it apparently causes problems with the sim from time to time.

Nothing has changed in the SW1500 only the UP model is complete.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but...

Downloaded the MRL SW1500 pack from Tr...S.m.com and followed the instructions for installation. For some reason, the switchers show up with Southern long hoods and everything else (cab, numbers, handrails) show up as MRL blue. Anybody have some thoughts as to why this is happening? One of the textures in the pack is a Southern long hood, but the rest of the textures are MRL, including another long hood that is MRL with the lions head logo. Could there be a reference somewhere that is calling on the Southern texture? Any fixes? It does it for all the MRL units, both numbers, and all the other SW1500's I have show up just fine.

Thanks, Daniel
