Tennessee Pass Signals

When driving on the single track mainline from Pueblo, I have a green signal, however, I notice the signal for the trains coming at me is green also?
How can that be?
There are no sidings or junctions where I am driving.
Why isn't that signal RED for any traffic that might be approaching me?
I am not running any AI trains at the same time.
