Something not right. . .

Unread postby kcs_fan » Fri Sep 23, 2011 11:43 pm

RW3 installed perfectly. Horseshoe Curve Add On installed and runs perfectly. No assets missing. All is well with them.

However, when I load my custom route, I keep getting lock ups and stuttering to the point that I can't even move around. I tried running my usual AI trains and they jumped and stuttered. Jerk, jerk, jerk and never smoothed out. Trying to fly from one place to another has become nearly impossible. I cleared the cache earlier today but that had no effect.

Anyone have any ideas???

I can run Horseshoe Curve with no glitches at all why, all of a sudden does my custom route go haywire???

Try re-exporting any custom content and any route property files you might have created and see if that smooths things out.
Cheers!

Hack:

You wouldn't go to a nuclear power plant and ask the janitor to explain how the reactor works. When it comes to computers and Railworks, I am three pay grades below the janitor. What means "re-exporting". I don't think I ever "exported" them in the first place. *!question!* *!question!* *!question!*

You stated "custom route", and I naturally assumed you had created it from scratch - ie: that you created a separate set of environment files, templates, etc.

Well, yes, it is a custom route in that I laid the tracks and placed the scenery, using Railworks and third party items throughout. (Engines, buildings, track, scenery, etc.) It is not based on a template of any of the included routes. I'm still a newbie for sure.
