Scenario Creation

Unread postby miata54 » Wed Jul 17, 2024 6:55 pm

I would like to make a clone of a particular scenario but with none of the pop-up windows of instructions or comments that are part of the original scenario. Is this possible?

Yes. Easiest way is to clone the scenario then go through the tasks and delete those you don't want. It should take less than 5 minutes.

OK, that sounds promising. Could you elaborate on "delete the tasks". Does that involve going onto the scenario properties file?

Short answer -No. Long answer - No. Scenario Properties are created by the scenario not the other way round.,
Look in your Railworks folder under Manuals, EN you should have a pdf named "RW Creator Manual_Web". It is old but still good. In that at the back end is Scenario Creation. The task list is created as you create the instructions for the scenario it is the list that appears in a scenario when you press F1 or the middle button on the LH side of the HUD.

OK. making progress but still have some questions. In the Creators manual, which shows the flyouts for the Tool Box, Webrowser, Options, Navigation, Properties and Tool Tips, I do not have the Tool Tips box as illustrated in the Manual. Also, without this function, I can not identify what each individual Icon represents. I can not identify the Delete Icon which would allow me to delete specific instructions placed in the scenario. I am running TSC 2024 so I do not understand why I have no Tool Tips function.

Do you have it checked in the settings section as screenshots attached? It's well worth the time spent looking at what you have and what it does, you can always undo things if you note what you do.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I got to thinking that maybe I should be sitting in a corner of a room with my dunce cap on, but then again, I got to thinking of the English language both from across the pond and here in North America regarding the use of an industry wide term called "Tool Tips". How easy it would have been for DTG to add the words "Tool Tips" to the Hints category line . But then again, maybe I'm over thinking it. !*don-know!*

Thanks

The quickest way to do what you want is, in the Scenario editor, aelect the player train and edit the Timetable for this train.

Now that I have access to the Icons (Tool Tips), indeed this is the fastest way to remove the instructions windows. *!!thnx!!*
