Need TS2021 help from buzz 456 or anyone else ---

I downloaded your featheriver F7 red and your green MEC repaints. I am using Train Simulator 2021 and have the feather river DLC installed..

The two repaints show up and work great except the side Maine Central script on the sides, which are apparently part of your "childs" folders.

I followed your instructions carefully, however, my installation never had an original "Assets/SearchlightSimulations" folder so I made one and copied your downloaded files to it so for the green version I have "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\SearchlightSimulations\FeatherRiver\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7\MEC_red\childs\ with the subject files in side the childs folder.

Trouble is, no side script as I said.

Is this childs folder in the right place? Also what do you mean by "The Searchlight Simulation needs to be checked for the side lettering to show up. That should do it. Make sure that you have the Feather River checked in the Asset box"? I new to TS 2021 but very experienced with a long list of flight simulator programs o I understand a lot of the basic concepts of simulator games but I do not know about checking assets etc.

My dad was a brakeman and Yard conductor for Portland Terminal, we lived about 5 miles from Rigby in the late 40s thru his reirement i nthe late 60s.

Mike, Let's walk through this and see if first we can make sure everything is in the right place. In the FeatherRiver F7 folder you should have two folders, one is MEC and the other MEC_red. Those are the ones that need the Geos from the default added in. I am assuming from your comments that both of the locos show up so that all should be good.
Next to the 'childs' objects. Here again you should have two separate folders a MEC and a MEC_red. The path to them is Assets\SearchlightSimulations\FeatherRiver\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7 and then the two mentioned. As to your question about checking off assets see my picture.

Thanks a heap - they work now.

Your picture was great but I had trouble at first because the right asset panel was sort of lodged off the the right edge of the screen with only its left border visible, but I finally saw it. Thanks again, you do great work

That would be a 'flyout' panel. You can use the 'pin' in the corner of the panel to make it stay exposed.
