Did I post my question in the right forum?

Unread postby HighBypass » Sun Mar 28, 2021 11:41 am

Hi Everyone. New member here from across the pond in good old (for now!) UK. I'm having problems refuelling the SP Cab Forward and posted the question in the Problems & Peculiarities forum if anyone might take a look there, or if needs be have the post moved to a more relevant area. Thanks.

That is the right place. Apparently no one has read it that knows how to fix your problem as yet.

I have attempted this on 2 different routes without success. I am doing some research on this. It may not be possible.

Perhaps we are on to something in that the type of structure might cause the issue. !*salute*!

Mike Rennie (Smokebox) was kind enough to review the blueprints on this. He said that "According to the tender's blueprint, the trigger box for water is right in the middle of the tender and measures 2x2x2 metres. So you have to line up pretty accurately with the centre of the tender." Try again HiBypass and report back. !!det!!

Enter in the world editor and set the tender water level to 70%. Save and reenter the scenario. The sweet spot for the fill is in between the first two forward
hatches.

Interesting info thank you and thank Mike too! I'd had already saved the free roam Donner pass scenario (one I got from the workshop) where I'm at Norden yard with ZERO water in the tender, the only water is in the boiler. I cannot seem to get the sweet spot between the 2 forward hatches on the tender aligned with the squat grain silo with no hose.

EDIT - further info the scenario appears to be locked - the world editor is greyed out. I'm a total noob when it comes to messing with scenarios - the most I've ever done it assemble a consist for a quick drive. I tried installing TS tools, but it cam up with an error message, yet the program did appear to work after tha although not all my content was there. I'm obviously doing plenty of things wrong LOL!
