Unremovable Hanover Tunnel Hole Decal

Unread postby Antwerp » Sat Dec 12, 2020 8:49 pm

Greetings all,

While doing some testing with decals to make the terrain see-through for an engine-house pit, not knowing what the decal was called, I placed a tunnel hole decal to see if that worked. No dice. (I did find the right one, pictured behind the side menu)

That's where the problem starts because now I cannot remove this tunnel hole decal from the Hanover (Gettysburg) route. Any pointers?

try clicking it from underneath. if not then try left clicking on a point to the side of it and dragging to the opposite corner to grab it then het delete

Try holding the E key while you click on it.

E tells railworks to pick only editor visible gizmos

Other filter keys:

S Only pick Scenery
T Only pick track
R Only pick roads
L Only pick lofts

Great Info for future reference, but oddly enough the (dare I call it) glitched tunnel decal disappeared.

It is still in place (and untouchable despite the key commands), because it does an odd thing to the track elevation in the menu, but otherwise it is now invisible.

SO I guess I'll just leave it there.

Tunnel decals, just like any other decal or asset block, can't be moved up or down; they'll always be stuck to the terrain.

I guess so long as it stays invisible, there is really no issue anymore. !*don-know!*

It was only initially a problem because it was unsightly and even appeared in the scenarios, rather than just in the Editor.
