rwp files missing from downloaded scenarios

Unread postby railfan220 » Sun Jun 21, 2020 11:58 am

Earlier today, I downloaded the Yard Work (Butler) scenario. However, when I tried to install it, I found there was no rwp file in there. How would I install the scenario in this case?

That is correct, the files aren't packaged in a rwp.
The author did not provide installation instructions.
I don't know in which folder the files should be dropped.

That's annoying. I'll go ask the original creator on Steam.

Thanks for the help.

You need this route from the Steam Workshop

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... =timesaver

Then just drop the folder with the long uin into the scenario folder.

That would be too easy.
The files in the uploaded zip archive are not in a folder with a long UIN.

The one I downloaded to research (Timesaver - West End Industries Scenario) contains a folder called 1e3bb377-dc55-4bd9-9542-9390a9ec5eb7
I would call that a long uin.

Edit: I downloaded the other one. It contains a folder called 73b8ad70-a3b6-4d64-aa06-e135421ab405 Just drop those two folders into the scenarios folder of the route I referenced above.

Just to be clear, you downloaded the Yard Work (Butler) scenario from RWA and it had this folder?

The folder to which Overshoe refers is in a scenario I posted this week. It is a copy and paste job for the installation. The Butler scenario (for B&LE) was one of a number that I couldn’t install (from the same author) and I just deleted as being one frustration too many. I now understand what I had to do but there were no instructions just the long uin.

Sorry, I misunderstood the OP. I thiought he was talking about the two new Timesaver scenarios. I never saw the Butler scenario. I will look at it now.

EDIT: OK, I see the problem there. I didn't download that scenario because I get RBJets scenarios from the workshop. That is a similar solution,

rename the "BLE 231 to Butler" folder that contains the ScenarioProperties.XML to this uin ba915ab6-2502-4f59-928d-c62db04e4291

and drop it into the scenario folder in the B&LE route

Thanks. I will update the instructions, or remove the scenarios from our library if they're already on Steam.

I'm afraid I don't understand the above.

I do not have any folder with a long UIN in the Yard Work Butler zip file...
This was downloaded from RWA.

Any help appreciated.
