Workshop mode freezes TS

Unread postby jtousign » Fri Nov 01, 2019 11:55 pm

Hi, Since I have reinstalled TS entirely1 after a computer motherboard replacement one month ago, I can't play anymore in the workshop mode. Each time I reach this mode and select a scenario, the game freezes and I have to shutdown TS. So my question is: Is there a way to make a big clean up of the workshop scenarios via the RailWorks folder? I'd like to get rid of all the scenarios in the Workshop mode and subscribing one by one again in the workshop community. Thanks for help!

Do not play workshop through the workshop tab, play it from the appropriate scenario drive tab.

What he said! Workshop is bugged. Go to the appropriate route and run the scenario from there.

Thanks for reply but that's not what I meant. I just want to remove all the workshop scenarios but I can't delete those via the Workshop mode so I wonder if there is another way to do so.

Start by unsubscribing through your Steam profile page. If you don't they will automatically download again when you start TS. You then can use name my route and delete them directly from your routes folder. Then do a computer reboot to flush the cache unless you do this, clear cache outside of game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... =465303891

I have this bug also, if you interact at all with the workshop tab a popup appears underneath ts2020 that blocks any input. It does not help to close the popup as it just reappears. Only cure is to restart ts2020 and avoid that tab. Seems a bunch of people have been posting about this on the Steam Community forum: https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/di ... 200/?ctp=3

Hopefully they will fix. Screenshot of popup is below:

Thanks for the link JBrownCS! Now I know that the issue is due to TS 2020 update. Not interested to come back at TS 2019, too much trouble. It's to bad for the WS community :(
