SIGNALLING QUESTION

Unread postby cbff33 » Sat Mar 25, 2017 2:28 pm

I am currently in the process of deciding which signals to use in a new route. I am looking at the CORA signals. I know in the signal naming, that "E" denotes that the signal covers an exit, such as into a yard with no signals beyond the "E" signal. Some of the signals have an "S". What does this mean? I also see signals with "C", "F". Unsure as to what those mean exactly.

Also, various signals have a number, for example "CORA Post 2H2T 40". What does that number mean. There are some signal sets that have number such as 40/40, 50'40 etc. What does it mean"

I can't answer your first question, but I can help with the second. I would assume that the 40 or 40/40, 50/40 designations describe the speed limits imposed upon the diverging routes. It's been a few years since I placed signals in the editor so I may be mistaken.

That seems to make sense on the numbers quite possibly.
Now I just gotta figure out all the letter meanings.
