RCAP Road Railers Have Odd Issue

Unread postby ZekTheKid » Fri Sep 09, 2016 8:50 pm

The "D" car of the RCAP road railers (no EOTD) have a weird issue where I try to couple another car to the back of it and my game crashes.

Any help is appreciated. *!!thnx!!*

Same issue here. Locks my computer and requires a Cold/Hard Boot to restart. This has been a problem with these from the beginning. I was hoping they would get fixed by whoever made these great assets.

A little bit of advice. When the game crashes, hit Control+Alternate+Delete, then close Railworks.exe from the Task Manager.
You can force Steam or any other program to close that causes issues this way.

Thanks, I knew that but sometimes that don't work. So the solution is to turn off the Computer.

Are you sure the road raiders are part of RCAP?

Don't they usually have "RCAP" in front of the name?
That's how it works for me when I place them in my scenarios.

Yes, and to make sure it is I went into the RCAP folder to alias krellnut's sounds to the road railers, and they were there.

Yes buzz465 they are part of RCAP. This has been an issue for a long time and makes them unusable. The person who made them should take a look and see why once you couple the "D" Car it crashes.

Funny, if this is such a long standing issue, a.) Why have I never experienced it, b). Why hasn't someone contacted me about it before now?

As far as fixes, you are out of luck. As of right I now I don't even know where the origin files are.

There is an error in the bin file that we did not find during beta testing of the RCAP assets. Open the bad one and one of the good ones side by side and compare the code. If your lucky I will find my set that I fixed when they first came out.
