Roof Fan not working in newer P42DC Genesis

Has anyone noticed that the roof fan in the RSC updated Genesis doesn't work?

This applies to the RSC\PD42Pack01, and the same loco in the DTG\Miami package. The fan.ban file is there, and appears to be correctly referenced in the loco's .bin file and .GeoPcDx file. But the fan is motionless.

Both models are updates of the original version by Rick Grout (G-Trax), and closely follow the same textures and file structure. But with the G-Trax model, the fan turns nicely. Strange that it seems to have lost its mojo in the update. I actually tried copying the fan.ban from the original model, but no joy.

Any thoughts as to how it could be "activated"?

This was discussed earlier and no solution was found. I think the model itself is messed up so either Rick or DTG needs to fix it.

Ok this might give someone a clue as to what is happening and can edit bin files (not me). Tried this out on the Marias Pass one Empire Builder. When you press the Z key the fan starts but at the same time it stops the engine. When you press the Z key again the fan stops and the engine starts.
