Installing Willamette Pass Route

Unread postby derickavery » Mon Sep 07, 2015 10:46 am

This is one of my favorite routes. I had it uploaded a few years ago but lost it when Railworks 13 or 14 updated. It has been sooooo long since I have uploaded a WIP. I don't know where to begin. I have download this route to a temporary folder. How can I get it into Railworks so that I can run trains on the route? Thanks for any help.

Un-zip it and you should have two RWP files. One is the route and the other one is the assets. Go find the Utilities.exe in your railworks folder. Open the Utlitiy and you will see a tab that says Package Manager. Click on it and then click on install. You need to go to wherever you have your two Willamett files are. Highlight one of them and say open. It will sit there for a while with a moving bar going across the screen. When it finishes repeat with the other file. You should be good to go when it finishes.

Willamette Pass Route broken track

Unread postby Bob302 » Mon Dec 21, 2015 9:30 am

Willamette Pass route:
I have found a broken track just inside a tunnel entrance on the middle section of what I call
the "double loop-back" (above the town of Oakridge on Google Earth).
The coordinates are 43.685440N 122.293256W.
(I am working from memory here; I am 90% sure that this is the right tunnel).
The last "tunnel section with track" piece, about 3 feet long, tilts up and is not connected
on both ends.
I deleted the tunnel portal, opening decal, and the tilted track section.
I replaced the deleted track section with scalerail freeware SP mainline to match the track outside the tunnel.
My advice to other new Railworks users: fix the track first.
Test your entire route by running diesels end-to-end before adding assets such as bridges.
