Problem with Roaring Camp Big Trees Railroad Route

Unread postby TCO2K » Tue Feb 03, 2015 4:37 pm

Hello guys,

recently I downloaded the route "Roaring Camp Big Trees Railroad". Unfortunately I have a little trouble to get that route to run. TrainSimulator don't show me any scenario of that route in the selection screen. Also while trying to edit the route or create a new scenario TS2015 don't show me that route. The "Rw Editor from "RW_Tools" shows me following Error messages:

"ERROR: Badly formed XML document.
FILE: D:\build\CoreRelease\Code\Libs\Foundation\API\core/cFxException.h
LINE:113"

"If you saw a message regarding Line 113, there is a format error in Q:\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\d873b0aa-765d-4ee9-8f22-e670df7f5b9e\RouteProperties.xml"

If I let "RW_Tools" check that route, there are found some missing scenery items. That's because I don't own some payware routes assets packs are needed from. But I don't think that is the reason for not showing the route.

In the German RailSim-Forum I read a post where someone test the same route not having some American payware routes and he could run that route even if the scenery was faulty because missing assets. I don't know if he was editing the RouteProperties.xml of that route. He also posted some screen shots. Look at this link: http://rail-sim.de/forum/index.php/Thre ... -Railroad/

I have installed more than ninety routes - payware and freeware - most of them run without any problem. There are only three routes which make trouble:
-Roaring Camp Big Trees Railroad
-Pau Canfranc / La Compagnie du Midi (a French route)
-Anneau Bloissiere (also a French route)

For those three routes "RW_Tools" show the same above mentioned error. I don't know where the faults are coming from. I never edited the xml-files. They are still in that state I got from download.

I watched some interesting videos on youTube and noticed that this route must be awesome and I really want to drive that one by myself.

It were so very nice if someone could help me to get that route to run. Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,

TCO from Germany

Do you have everything in the readme file. See below.

Roaring Camp Big Trees Payware Routes And Assets List by dleeboy

I took a look at the core route list of the Railworks ,TS2012,TS2013,TS2014 AND TS2015. And the routes that I am using. For those of you that are planning to download my new route. Here a list of routes that I am using and what year that they were in the core program for that year. Cajon Pass RW-RW2-TS2012. Horseshoe Curve- TS2012. London Brighton- TS2012. Sherman Hill-TS2013. Donner Pass-TS2014. Pacific SurflinerTS2015. Here is a list of the other Payware Routes that you will need. Marias Pass RSC, Stevens Pass, Portland Terminal, Fort Kent to Eagle Lake, Colton And Northern, Rascal and Cottonwood. You can get all of these from The Steam Store. You will also need From the Market place on TS2015 main site or in the program. Town Scenery Pack, Platform Clutter Scenery Pack.

Here are other Payware assets you have to get from other sites. http://eyein12.blogspot.com You will need his SOO Line assets and his Seattle Subdivision To Tacoma assets. His two routes don't cost a lot but you will need both of them. Also GtraX DSNG route. His site is http://www.gtraxsims.com And the last is 3DTrains at 3dtrains.com I use his Rural Landscapes, World Landscapes, ScaleRoads And RW ScailRail. He has freeware versions, I use his Payware ones. I will package up the freeware assets that I use and put them on my Media Fire site for everyone to download. So if most of you have had this Train Simulator program for years you should have most of this routes already. For those that don't have all of these Routes. You will find here what you will need. There is another Payware Route that I used assets from it is RWA Lakeside Route. I have uploaded all of the freeware assets to my Media Fire site. I put them in RWP files. They are in separet files I did this because I did not want to put it in a large file. You all will need another freeware asset it is RECAP and it can be downloaded from this site RailWorks America.
Here are the freeware asset links.

Assets.zip

I downloaded and was going to install it but, I don't have a lot of the payware so I won't. Some freeware routes are quite nice but you have to spend $ to run them.
