Well it's my turn. Tried 3 times to access Steam using the desktop Steam icon. Got the connection error message. Now when I try it I get absolutely nothing at all. No response to clicking on the icon. Anyone else?

Working again. I guess three failed log-in attempts in a row upset Steam. I had to reboot the computer to get the launch icon to work, but all is well for now. Thanks anyway.

One interesting thing I noted. I was able to log into my Steam account by going to the website, after going through the usual routine of getting an e mail with a log-in security code. But when I log into my account by going to the website, I can find absolutely no way to launch the sim from there. I can't get into my library to launch it - no option to do it that I could see. Am I just being blind?

When I go to Steam in my start menu one of the choices is 'Library'.

Thanks for your reply Buzz. I don't see that option in the Start Menu Steam options here. I've got three options: Steam, Steam Support Center and Train Simulator (says TS 2014 but I'm running 15 of course). Right clicking on those options also does not show a Library option and left clicking takes you where they indicate. I guess it doesn't matter though. When Steam is down it's down and I probably couldn't get into my Library anyway.

At least I've learned that when there is no response at all to clicking on a Steam-related icon a computer reboot is probably required to fix it, assuming Steam is up and running.
